Roundtable Recap: Parenting & Pregnancy at Work During a Crisis

The public health crisis has brought new challenges for working parents and pregnant individuals. With the shut-down of schools and other support systems, many parents are balancing caregiving with the demands of work. For pregnant individuals, unsafe outdoor environments and overburdened hospitals have placed an additional stressor on those soon-to-be-due.

How can current parents address these challenges and what can managers and employers do to address these unique stressors?

On May 18th, ReadySet CEO and founder Y-Vonne Hutchinson and COO Rachel Marcuse hosted a roundtable discussion on navigating parenting or pregnancy at work during the COVID crisis. Our panel of professionals (all current parents/pregnant) shared a number of effective tools and tips for working parents to balance dual roles and for their employers to better support parent-employees.
