Jaimie Woo

Senior Facilitator

She/her/hers

As a Facilitator at ReadySet, Jaimie (she/her) brings her multifaceted history and experience spanning politics, policy, communications, and entertainment. Jaimie began her career as a community organizer on economic justice campaigns. Seeking to embed her activism roots within government and institutional structures, Jaimie then worked for then-Vice President Joe Biden on gender violence policy at the Obama White House. She later served as a communications director in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she was the only female Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) to hold said title in all congressional offices throughout her tenure – further reinforcing her ardent advocacy for more meaningful representation in levels of power.

In addition to her work at ReadySet, Jaimie is a Creative Development Producer at Culture House Media and a script reader for The Black List. She also serves on the Boards of the Junior Hollywood Radio & Television Society (JHRTS) and Young Entertainment Activists (YEA), and is a co-author of the New York Times Best Seller, YES SHE CAN. Jaimie is the proud daughter of Chinese immigrants, a graduate of Duke University, and native of Houston, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and podcasting for her show, “Are You There, Universe?” Jaimie currently resides in Los Angeles.
